Viet Nam always keeps close watch on developments in East Sea

VGP - Vietnamese law enforcement forces at sea are keeping a close eye on developments related to the illegal operations of the Chinese vessel Xiang Yang Hong 10 in Viet Nam’s exclusive economic zone, said Deputy Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Duc Thang.

Deputy Spokesman Nguyen Duc Thang made the above statement in response to questions from reporters about the illegal operations of Chinese vessel Xiang Yang Hong 10 in Viet Nam’s exclusive economic zone in the East Sea.

Viet Nam requested relevant agencies of China to comply with the common perception mutually agreed by the two countries’ senior leaders, immediately stop the trespassing activities, withdraw the survey vessels and its escorts out of the area.

Viet Nam demanded that China respect Viet Nam’s sovereign rights and jurisdiction, strictly implement the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea (DOC), and maintain peace, cooperation and development in the regional waters, thus contributing to the development of relations between the two countries./.
