Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan meets Philippine President

The Vice President conveyed congratulations from President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Vietnamese leaders to the Philippine President.

She expressed her belief that President Marcos will lead the Philippines to develop prosperously and affirm its critical status in the region and the world.

Vo also conveyed a letter from President Nguyen Xuan Phuc inviting President Marcos and his spouse to pay a visit to Viet Nam soon.

The Philippine President expressed thanks to the Vietnamese Vice President and delegation for attending his swearing-in ceremony.

President Marcos agreed that the two sides should increase high-ranking delegation exchanges in the coming time, asserting that he would arrange a visit to Viet Nam soon.

The two nations should foster trade and investment promotion measures, especially trade in rice and other agricultural products, suggested the host leader.

The Philippines expects that Viet Nam will continue supplying rice stably to ensure food security,  Marcos said, affirming to enhance close coordination in this potential sector in the time ahead.

On the occasion, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan also had bilateral meetings with Australian Governor General David Hurley, Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Don Pramudwinai, Japanese Minister of Foreign Affairs Yoshimasa Hayashi, Brunei Minister of Foreign Affairs Dato Erywan Yusof and the British Prime Minister's Special Envoy Richard Graham./.
