The one-year project aims to improve living, healthcare and educational conditions of disadvantaged people, including children in the locality, Mr. Hoang Ngoc Khanh, Chief of the provincial People’s Committee Office, said on March 11.
Under the project, 7 mobile medical checkups and treatment sessions will be organized in the districts of Phu Vang, Nam Dong, Phu Loc and the towns of Huong Thuy and Huong Tra; and funds will be provided for surgery of 10 patients and the purchase of books for 10 libraries at nursery and primary schools.
Earlier, on March 5, the US’s Clear Path International offered a non-refundable aid of VND210 million to award 140 scholarships to children of families whose members are victims of unexploded ordnances in Phong Dien District./.
