Two Vietnamese female scientists win Kovalevskaya Prize

VGP – Two Vietnamese female scientists, Dr. Lương Chi Mai and Dr. Nguyễn Thị Lộc were awarded with the 2010 Kovalevskaya Prize on the International Women’s Day-March 8.

Dr. Lương Chi Mai is the Deputy Director of the Institute of Information Technology under the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.

Meanwhile, Dr. Nguyễn Thị Lộc is the Head of the Insect Ecology and Biological Prevention Section under the Mekong Delta Rice Institute.

Speaking at the prize-awarding ceremony the same day, Dr. Lộc said that this kind of noble prize would be a huge source of encouragement for Vietnamese female scientists to strive for greater achievements in the future.
