Top legislator elected as Chairperson of National Election Council
VGP – National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan was elected as the Chairperson of the National Election Council.

The National Assembly passed a resolution on the election at the ongoing ninth session of the 14th legislature on June 11 in Ha Noi.
The resolution was passed with 95.65% of votes in favor.
Lawmakers also voted to pass resolutions approving the dismissal of Vuong Dinh Hue from the post of Deputy PM, and Nguyen Thanh Hai from the membership of the NA Standing Committee.
Earlier, Mr. Hue was appointed as Secretary of the Party Committee of Ha Noi in February this year, while Mr. Hai was appointed as Secretary of Thai Nguyen provincial Party Committee in May.
These resolutions took effect from the day of issuance./.
