The visit is made at the invitation of Speaker of the House of Representatives of Thailand Wan Muhamad Noor Matha.
Upon arrival, Vuong was welcomed by First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Padipat Suntiphada, Acting Secretary–General of the House of Representatives Arpath Sukhanunth and Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Phan Chi Thanh.
During his visit, the top legislator is expected to pay courtesy calls on and hold talks with Thailand's senior leaders to discuss ways to boost the enhanced strategic partnership between the two countries in general and cooperation between the two legislative bodies in particular at both bilateral and multilateral frameworks.
Both sides will also exchange views on international and regional issues of common concerns and sign cooperation agreements between the two parliaments.
This is the first visit to Thailand by Vuong in his capacity as the top legislator of Viet Nam.
The visit aims to continue implementing the foreign policy of the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, and actively consolidate and expand political relations and step up effective and substantive cooperation between the two nations across the channels of Party, parliament, government, and people-to-people links.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the strategic partnership between the two countries./.
