Top legislator begins official visit to Laos

He is accompanied by Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai, Secretary General and Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for External Affairs Vu Hai Ha, Chairman of the National Assembly's Council for Ethnic Affairs Y Thanh Ha Nie K'dam, Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic Committee Vu Hong Thanh, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Defense and Security Le Tan Toi, and leaders of several ministries and localities.

The visit takes places as both countries are set to mark 60 years of the establishment of diplomatic ties (September 5) and 45 years of the signing of the Viet Nam-Laos Treaty of Amity and Cooperation (July 18)./.
