To Lam starts official visit to France
VGP - General Secretary and President To Lam and his spouse Ngo Phuong Ly arrived in Paris on early September 10, starting his official visit to France where he will attend the International Space Summit in Paris.

He was welcomed by French Minister of the Interior Laurent Nuñez and French Ambassador to Viet Nam Olivier Brochet.
Viet Nam and France officially established diplomatic relations on April 12, 1973. The bilateral relations have developed positively and comprehensively on the foundation of growing political trust and deep historical, cultural and people-to-people ties.
The visit underscores Viet Nam's particular importance attached to the comprehensive strategic partnership with France. It also provides an opportunity to connect France's strengths in science and technology, innovation and strategic technology sectors with Viet Nam's emerging development needs.
To's attendance at the International Space Summit demonstrates Viet Nam's development vision and proactive approach to international integration, while carrying out at the highest level the Party's major policies and orientations on external relations, international integration, and the development of science, technology and innovation.
The summit also offers an important opportunity for Viet Nam to contribute its voice to shaping space governance toward peace, safety, sustainability and fairness, for the common interests of humanity, affirming its image as a proactive, constructive and responsible country in addressing global issues./.
