Thu Thiem 2 bridge opens to traffic
VGP - Thu Thiem 2 Bridge spanning over Ho Chi MInh City's Saigon River was inaugurated on April 28.

The inauguration ceremony saw the presence of Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai and Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Phan Van Mai, among others.
The 1.465km bridge links the southern metropolis downtown and Thu Thiem new urban area designated as the new financial and innovative hub of Ho Chi Minh City.
It is one of the four brigdes connecting the downtown with the Thu Thiem new urban area.
The first bridge (Thu Thiem 1 bridge) opened to traffic in 2008 and the third and the fourth will be built before 2030./.
