Three Indian nationals confirmed positive for COVID-19, patient tally rises to 1,044

VGP – The National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control just confirmed four new COVID-19 cases, including three Indian nationals, bringing the country’s patient tally to 1,044.

Specifically, patients 1,041 and 1,042 are Indian oil experts, aged 33 and 32, respectively.

They flew from Dubai to Ho Chi Minh City on August 29 and were immediately sent to a centralized quarantine camp in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau.

The pair are being isolated and treated at a hospital in Ba Ria city.

Patient 1,043 is a 29-year old woman from Vinh Yen District, Vinh Phuc Province.

She took flight 6E8679 from India to Ha Noi on August 28 and is being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.

Patient 1,044 is a 62-year old Indian man who was onboard the same flight with patient 1,043.

He iss being isolated and treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.

The country’s patient tally includes 707 recoveries and 34 deaths, said the National Steering Committee./.
