Thirty-four new Covid-19 cases confirmed, total rises to 784

They include 22 in Da Nang, 8 in Quang Nam, one in Ha Noi, one in Hai Duong and one Philippine national.

Patient 751 is a 45-year old man from Cam Ranh, Khanh Hoa. He travelled to Ha Noi to meet his spouse and children.

On August 1, he developed fever and was admitted to the Hai Duong General Hospital three days later.

Patient 752 is a 30-year old woman from Phuc Tho District, Ha Noi.

She travelled to Da Nang with his family members from July 24-27. On August 2, she got cough and developed mild fever on August 5.

The woman is being isolated and quarantined at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.

Patient 753 is a 30-year old Philippine man who landed at the Tan Son Nhat International Airport after transiting in Hong Kong.

He is being treated at the Cu Chi field hospital in Ho Chi Minh City.

Patient 754 is a 30-year old working on a vessel transporting gas from Qatar to Vung Tau Port in the Mekong delta province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau on July 28.

Patients 755-771 and 780-784 are residents of Da Nang.

Patients 722-779 are residents of Quang Nam Province.

With these new cases, the number of Covid-19 patients linked to Da Nang rose to 330, the Steering Committee said.

Earlier the same day, the Committee, led by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, said three more patients had been cleared of the virus, raising the total recoveries to 395.

The newly recovered cases are patients numbered 387 (a 25-year old man hospitalized on July 19), 410 (a 37-year old man admitted to hospital on July 23), and 412 (a 49-year old man, admitted to hospital July 23).

The country’s patient tally includes 10 deaths.

At present, 178,451 people are under medical surveillance, including 5,870 at hospitals, 24,106 at centralized quarantine facilities, and 148,475 at places of residence./.
