Third Bridge Connecting Nghe An, Ha Tinh Opens To Traffic

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Secretary of Ha Noi City’s Party Committee Vuong Dinh Hue, Head of the PVCC Commission for Internal Affairs Phan Dinh Trac and Vice Chairman of National Assembly Uong Chu Luu attended the ceremony.

The project, worth VND950 billion (or more than US$40 million), started construction on February 15, 2019.

Only a 1.1 km section at the southern end of the bridge in Nghi Xuan District, Ha Tinh is still under construction.

This is the third bridge connecting these two provinces along with Ben Thuy Bridges No.1 and No.2.

The project has a total length of more than 5.3km, with the main bridge of 18.5m wide and the auxiliary road of 16m wide.

The project, with the longest cable-stayed bridge in Viet Nam of 153 meter, is expected to improve transport system between the two localities, reduce the number of vehicle traveling on the National Highway 1, gradually complete the infrastructure system in the North Central region, create favorable investment environment and contribute to the socio-economic development.
