Thailand's Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul to participate in 3rd ASEAN Future Forum

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1976, Viet Nam and Thailand have built a strong and broad relationship based on mutual trust and understanding.

The two countries elevated their ties to a Strategic Partnership in 2013 and a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership on May 16, 2025.

The 3rd ASEAN Future Forum (AFF) will take place in Ha Noi from June 9-10 under the theme "Shaping our future together: peace, prosperity, and people-centered development."

This year's theme reflects ASEAN's need to act with greater unity, imagination, and practical ambition at a time of deep global uncertainty. It underscores the belief that ASEAN's future must be shaped together — with peace as the foundation of regional stability, prosperity as the driver of sustainable development, and people at the center of regional cooperation.

In this spirit, AFF 2026 seeks to move beyond diagnosis toward concrete, inclusive, and forward-looking conversations on how ASEAN can strengthen resilience, renew growth models, harness emerging technologies, and ensure that the region's future is shaped not only by governments, but also by businesses, experts, communities, and the next generation./.
