The Viet Nam International Textile & Garment Industry Exhibition and the Viet Nam International Textile & Apparel Accessories Exhibition (VTG 2017) will be held at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Centre.
Most of exhibitors are from mainland China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Switzerland, the Republic of Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Viet Nam.
On display will be sewing, textile screen printing, high-caliber embroidery and fabric dyeing machines, cutting room, auto-sewing, industrial laundry, anti-wrinkle pressing and ironing equipment, chemical dipping and curing ovens among others.
The event will also include seminars with the participation of speakers from the Export-Import Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Association of Viet Nam Cotton & Spinning Association, and the Viet Nam Textile and Apparel Association. Topics to be addressed include the impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, opportunities from free trade agreements, and how to keep staying ahead in the market.
For the first seven months of the year, the country attracted US$21.93 billion in foreign direct investment, a surge of 52% compared to the same period in 2016, achieving the highest annual growth rate since 2011.
Viet Nam’s textile and garment sectors had US$14.58 billion in outbound shipments in the first six months of the year, representing a significant annual increase of 11.3%.
