The simulated flights using Boeing 777 and Airbus 321 planes were conducted in Singapore and HCM City in July and August.

The VNA would report the results to the Civil Aviation Authority of Viet Nam on September 3.

The low cost airline VietJet on September 2 simulated the service on the proposed route in Bangkok.

The new route is expected to help save fuel and increase profits for flying airlines.

Viet Nam is said  to rake in an additional US$120 million thanks to the new route, while Laos and Cambodia would benefit US$ 25 million each from airspace-use fees.

However, there are factors that need to be considered carefully./.
