Strengthening relations between CPV and Japanese LDP

Highly appreciating the positive development of the Viet Nam-Japan ties, including the relationship between the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) and LDP, the two sides exchanged views on the Viet Nam-Japan relations' future growth.

Also, they discussed the enhancement of engagements between young Vietnamese and Japanese leaders and parliamentarians and the locality-to-locality and people-to-people exchanges.

Mrs Truong Thi Mai, Secretary of the CPV Central Committee and Chairwoman of the CPV Central Committee's Organization Commission affirmed Viet Nam attached importance to its ties with Japan and highly valued Japan's cooperation with and investment in Viet Nam.

At the same time, the official recommended Japan to strengthen further the foundation of the CPV-LDP ties in Viet Nam-Japan relations, increase high-level exchanges and meetings, and promote practical cooperation across fields.

Besides, she proposed Japan continue to provide new-generation ODA in line with Viet Nam's development needs, coordinate with Viet Nam at multilateral forums, and support Viet Nam in maintaining peace, stability, and cooperation in the East Sea by the  UNCLOS 1982.

For his part, Hagiuda Koichi affirmed that Japan highly values Viet Nam's position in its regional policy and wishes to cooperate with Viet Nam in organized activities to mark the 50th anniversary of the two nations' diplomatic relations.

Notably, the Japanese official hoped two sides to implement the contents discussed between the General Secretary of the CPV Central Committee, Nguyen Phu Trong and LDP Chairman and Prime Minister of Japan, Fumio Kishida, at their high-level online talks in February.

Additionally, he wanted to enhance cooperation between the two Parties further, coordinate with Viet Nam in human resource training, and effectively implement the Viet Nam-Japan University project.

Highly appreciating the contributions of the Vietnamese community in Japan to the host nation's economic and social development, he said that in the future, Japan would expand its import of skilled Vietnamese laborers.

The same day, Hagiuda talked with the CPV Central Committee's Commission for Foreign Affairs Chairman Le Hoai Trung and worked with Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien./.
