Viet Nam and the U.S. relations have made remarkable progresses 20 years after the establishment of diplomatic ties and two years after the setting up of the Comprehensive Partnership, especially in economics, trade and investment, said the State President.

He appraised contribution and commitments in investment and business between the two nations’ enterprises.

Hailing the successful conclusion of the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement, the U.S. businesses expressed their optimistic viewpoints on the new development prospect of Viet Nam, expecting that the TPP will create a new and long-term cooperation framework and more opportunities for both.

Viet Nam will make efforts in completing market economy, legal frameworks, policies, administrative procedures and internalize Free Trade Agreements, including the TPP to facilitate the U.S. businesses' expanded investment in fields of industry, service, high-technology, agricultural product processing and biological pharmacy, affirmed State President Sang.

He expected that the U.S. groups actively contribute to the development of Viet Nam.

At the seminar, the State President discussed concerns raised by the U.S. businesses, proposing the groups raise their voice in supporting the U.S. Government to tackle trade barriers to Vietnamese products and actively respond to the APEC held in Viet Nam in 2017.
