Standing Deputy Prime Minister to visit U.S.

The visit aims to introduce policies and preferential legal framework of Viet Nam's IFC to American investors and businesses, and establish networks with U.S. partners, especially banks, investment funds, financial institutions, and technology enterprises.

It also seeks to exchange experience in developing financial centers, managing digital assets, and establishing trading platforms, while strengthening bilateral financial and investment ties between Viet Nam and the U.S., and advancing the implementation of agreements and commitments reached during high-level visits by leaders of both countries.

During the visit, Nguyen are expected to hold meetings and working sessions with U.S. officials, leaders of relevant agencies, as well as executives of banks, investment funds, financial institutions, experts, and businesses.

The IFC is of significant importance, contributing to restructuring the economy and transforming the growth model, while serving as an effective channel for capital mobilization and allocation.

Viet Nam and the U.S. officially upgraded their relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in September 2023.

The total bilateral trade exceeded US$140 billion last year. The U.S. is Viet Nam's largest export market, while Viet Nam is an important trading partner of the U.S. in ASEAN. U.S. investment in Viet Nam continues to grow positively, particularly in strategic sectors such as high technology, energy, and financial services./.
