Viet Nam Industry-Energy Group (Petrovietnam) ranked 11th in the list, making it the only Vietnamese representative in the top 20 by revenue.

In 2024, the group's total revenue surpassed VND 1 quadrillion (US$38.2 billion) for the first time, with contributions to the state budget reaching VND 165.6 trillion (US$6.338 billion).

Tasco JSC, providing a range of automotive services and smart transport infrastructure solutions, and Viet Phat Group, a pioneer in the field of energy supply with major partners around the world, stood out as two of the fastest-growing companies in Southeast Asia, with revenue growth rates of 162 percent and 144 percent, respectively.

Notably, the top 20 Vietnamese companies by revenue contributed a total of US$110.2 billion, accounting for 68 percent of the combined revenue of all 76 Vietnamese enterprises featured in the ranking.

Among the 500 companies honored by Fortune this year, the technology sector accounted for a total of 26 enterprises. Notably, Viet Nam's representative FPT rose 25 spots compared to last year, securing the 135th position.

Vietnamese technology company VNG was honored in the ranking based on the positive transformation of its financial indicators and steady growth across its core business areas, and a flexible, cost-effective operational strategy.

Earlier, VNG was awarded the Silver prize in the "Artificial Intelligence Company of the Year" category of the 2025 Globee Awards, becoming the only Southeast Asian company recognized for its AI excellence.

Clay Chandler, Executive Editor of Fortune Asia said, Fortune's interest in the region reflects Southeast Asia's growing importance as an engine of global growth.

The region has become a crucial manufacturing and export hub, which is drawing significant capital flows. This momentum has been further fueled by Trump-era tariffs, which have reshaped global trade dynamics and driven a shift towards Southeast Asia, he noted.

Fortune's Southeast Asia 500, which measures the largest companies in the region by revenue, covers seven economies: Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Viet Nam, the Philippines, and Singapore.

Companies in the ranking are assessed based on revenue, net profit, business scale, workforce size, and their contributions to economic development./.
