Seven Vietnamese universities listed in THE Impact Rankings 2022

Viet Nam National University-Ha Noi is listed in the Impact Rankings 2022 released by the Times Higher Education (THE)

In 2020, only two Vietnamese education institutions were on the list and the figure was double last year.

The seven facilities include Viet Nam National University-Ha Noi (VNU-Ha Noi), which is in the 601-800 rankings, Ton Duc Thang University (601-800)in Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Noi University of Science and Technology (HUST) (601-800), and Phenikaa University (801-1000) in Ha Noi.

Three new in the list are Duy Tan University (601-800) in Da Nang City, Ha Noi based-National Economics University (601-800), and FPT University (801-1000) in Ha Noi.

All the universities received high rankings for achievements relating to the eighth Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) – economic growth and decent work for all. Of these, HUST got the highest position with 70.3 point.

Only VNU-Ha Noi gained high rankings for the fourth SDG – quality education with 63.1 points.

The ranking assesses universities against 17 United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are no poverty, zero hunger, good health and well-being, quality education, gender equality, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, decent work and economic growth, industry, innovation and infrastructure, reduced inequalities, sustainable cities and communities, responsible consumption and production, climate action, life below water, life on land, peace, justice and strong institutions, and partnerships for the goals.

This year, the Impacts Rankings considered a total of 1,406 education institutions from 106 countries and territories globally.
