Second rescue flight sent to Poland to repatriate Vietnamese in Ukraine

VGP - Viet Nam has sent the second flight to Poland to repatriate Vietnamese citizens from Ukraine.

A Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner of Bamboo Airways left Ha Noi on early Wednesday. It is expected to land in Warsaw on the same day and bring nearly 300 Vietnamese citizens back to Ha Noi on March 10. 

Earlier, the airline submitted a rescue plan to the Civil Aviation Authority of Viet Nam (CAAV) with seven flights from Ha Noi to Prague (Czech Republic), Bucharest (Romania), Warsaw (Poland), Budapest (Hungary), Brastislava (Slovakia), Moscow (Russia), Minsk (Belarus) in a bid to evacuate Vietnamese nationals from Ukraine.

The first evacuation flight, conducted by the national flag carrier Viet Nam Airlines, landed in Ha Noi on March 8 with 283 Vietnamese citizens onboard.

The CAAV said that Viet Nam Airlines was permitted to conduct the third rescue flight which is scheduled to leave Ha Noi on March 10 for Bucharest (Romania) to evacuate 283 passengers.
