The planned area of the Quế Võ II Industrial Park was identified in the List of Priority IPs for  Establishment up to 2015 (Appendix I) issued attached to Decision 1107/QĐ-TTg on August 21, 2006 by the PM regarding Development of Vietnam’s IPs towards 2015 and Orientations to 2020.

The Quế Võ IP is adjacent to the provincial center on National Highway 18 running from Nội Bài Airport to Quảng Ninh Province, 33km north of Hanoi. The IP has the planned area of 336.95 ha in stage I and the total investment of VND531 billion. To date, this IP has seen 40 domestic and foreign investors register to set up shops with a total capital of US$171 million. According to the set plan, the IP’s planning area will be increased to 500 ha  in stage II. The Quế Võ IP is expected to drive the development of the nearby Phố Mới Town, helping it to become a grade-3 urban area in Bắc Ninh City.
