The top legislator made the point commenting on the four-day Q&A session of NA deputies and the Government’s members.
Ms. Ngan assessed that the four-day sitting was positive and responsible and the NA accomplished all contents of the Q&A session.
The NA listened to the Ministers of Agriculture and Rural Development; Culture, Sports and Tourism; Health, Planning and Investment, Deputy PMs Vuong Dinh Hue, Vu Duc Dam, Trinh Dinh Dung, Ministers of Industry, Transport and the General Director of Viet Nam Social Insurance.
On behalf of the PM, Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh reported issues on general responsibilities of the Government on socio-economic performance in May and the first five months for 2017; measures on economic stability, credit organizations, NPLs settlement, restructuring of State-owned enterprises, loss-suffering projects; natural management, and environmental protection.
This was the first time Mr. Binh has taken the floor in the session. He made clear important issues; acknowledged the Government’s responsibilities for shortcomings; and pledged to surmount difficulties and tighten administrative disciplines.
According to NA Chairwoman Ngan, the Q&A session took place at democratic, frank, and constructive atmosphere. Over 196 deputies raised questions and 58 others debated.
Ms. Ngan stressed that amidst various difficulties and challenges, difficulties in the economy, the Government has spared no effort to overcome shortcomings, weaknesses, and obstacles to stabilize the economy and improve people’s living standards.
However, the top legislator stressed the importance of having high determination and breaking solutions to fulfill socio-economic development plan in 2017.
The NA Chairwoman also suggested the Government, ministers, agencies to seriously research NA deputies' opinions and conduct effective measures to achieve the preset goals./.
