Procuracy sector asked for active judicial reform

VGP – Politburo Member Trương Tấn Sang urged the Procuracy sector to actively participate in judicial reforms at the Supreme People’s Procuracy’s annual meeting held in Hồ Chí Minh City on June 22.

In his speech, Mr. Sang praised the sector’s recent achievements, but emphasized the need for the sector to drastically reform modes of operation and personnel organization, perfect laws and institutions, and uphold professional ethics.

According to Mr. Sang, the sector should actively participate in judicial reforms to improve the justice system, and proposed more review and reassessment of its staff, and creation of stronger judicial training programs and opportunities for Procuracy’s staff to join the International Association of Prosecutors.
