Prime Minister visits Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague

At his meeting with PCA Secretary-General Marcin Czepelak, Pham affirmed Viet Nam always attaches importance to and highly value the role of PCA in assisting countries in peacefully settling international disputes.

Pham underscored that the opening of a PCA office in Ha Noi is a meaningful move, indicating Viet Nam's support for peace and international order that is based on the United Nations Charter, international law, including the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

The Prime Minister expressed his hope that the office would actively share with Viet Nam experience in addressing territorial, economic, and trade issues.

Marcin Czepelak expressed thanks to Prime Minister Pham for warm reception for him during his Viet Nam's visit last November.

Marcin Czepelak showed his special sentiments towards Viet Nam and spoke highly of Viet Nam's strong commitments and role in pushing for compliance with the United Nations Charter and international law.

He also thanked the Government of Viet Nam and Prime Minister Pham for the PCA to open its office in Ha Noi, pledging to coordinate closely with Vietnamese ministries and agencies, especially the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in carrying out training and capacity building courses./.
