Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh cames to visit late Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo's spouse Akie

Prime Minister expressed his deep condolences to Abe's spouse Akie over the death of her husband –the great and close friend of the Government and people of Viet Nam.

When Abe served as Prime Minister of Japan, the Viet Nam-Japan relations saw strong developments, particularly, the two countries lifted up ties to an extensive strategic partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia in 2014, Pham emphasized.

Pham went on to say that the recent elevation of the two countries' relationship to a comprehensive strategic partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia and the world reflects the continuation of late Prime Minister Abe's wish on the development of the Viet Nam-Japan relations.

Recalling his memories of his meetings with Abe, Prime Minister Pham said he always bears in mind Abe's sincere affections for Viet Nam, affirming that Abe is one of the foreign leaders loved and respected most by Vietnamese people, because of not only his special affections and important contributions to the Viet Nam-Japan relations, but also the image of a friendly leader.

Akie pledged to continue pursuing her husband's will on deepening friendship and cooperation with Viet Nam through activities to promote cultural exchange, education cooperation, charity, and strengthen mutual affections and understanding between the two nations./.
