Pham welcomed Mr. Pillen's first overseas trip in his capacity as Governor of Nebraska.
Viet Nam, said the Prime Minister, regards the U.S. as a leading important partner and wishes to boost the bilateral comprehensive partnership, including cooperation between localities and people-to-people exchange.
He proposed Nebraska state share development experience with Viet Nam and speed up cooperation in potential fields like education-training, science, technology, innovation, high-tech, finance and climate change response.
In reply, the Governor praised Viet Nam’s high growth rate and its advantages such as young population and hardworking workforce.
He said Nebraska has increased the shipment of its major agricultural products to Viet Nam like corn, soybeans, beef, and other dried grain products.
