Pham made the above statement on Thursday at a reception for Thomas Vallely, Chairman of Fulbright University Viet Nam's Governing Board and Director of the Viet Nam Program at Harvard University, and senior faculty from Fulbright University Viet Nam.
The Prime Minister hailed the role played by Thomas Vallely in enhancing the bilateral relationship, adding that the recent elevation of the bilateral ties marks a new milestone which lays a solid foundation to deepen cooperation across fields, including education and training.
He welcomed the U.S. to continue long-term investment in Fulbright University, asserting that the Vietnamese Government will continue its assistance to the university to become a high-quality human resource training center in the Southeast Asian country.
Pham suggested Thomas Vallely and the Harvard Viet Nam Program continue assistance for Viet Nam in formulation of socio-economic development policies and in human resource developmment while connecting partners and investors in semiconductors and artificial intelligence (AI) to Viet Nam.
Thomas Vallely, for his part, hailed Viet Nam's diplomacy achievements and the nations' efforts and achievements in creating a foundation for developing the semiconductor and AI industries and promoting cooperation and investment from leading corporations in this field, such as NVIDIA.
He pledged to coordinate closely with Vietnamese agencies to successfully organize the Viet Nam Executive Leadership Program (VELP), a platform for discussing socio-economic development issues in Viet Nam./.
