The tour will be made at the invitation of Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced Thursday.

The nation has been proactive, active and responsible and persistent in ASEAN's principles, together with member countries, in their efforts to help the ASEAN ship overcome challenges, proactively respond and adapt to the new context, keep maintaining the momentum of regional cooperation and connectivity, affirming the central role and enhancing the position of ASEAN.
Association of Southeast Asian Nations was established on August 8, 1967 with 5 founding members and it has gradually developed into a comprehensive and close cooperation organization, including 10 Southeast Asian countries and officially became the ASEAN Community on December 31, 2015.
ASEAN is on a positive trajectory to become the world's fourth-largest economy by 2030 from the current fifth place, with the bloc's gross domestic product (GDP) soaring 51 percent to US$3.8 trillion in 2023 compared to US$2.5 trillion in 2015./.
