Prime Minister Pham conveyed the invitation of General Secretary To Lam and other senior Vietnamese leaders to President Trump, inviting him to visit Viet Nam. President Trump accepted the invitation with pleasure, saying he really wishes to visit Viet Nam.
Based on the Viet Nam-U.S. comprehensive strategic partnership for peace, cooperation and sustainable development, Pham suggested the U.S. work with Viet Nam to arrange General Secretary To Lam's visit to the U.S.
The two leaders agreed to work together to promote the Viet Nam-U.S. comprehensive strategic partnership for peace, cooperation and development in an extensive, substantive and effective manner. This includes the signing of a reciprocal, fair and balanced trade agreement.
The Vietnamese Prime Minister spoke highly of President Trump's role in promoting peaceful resolution of conflicts in the world over the recent time.
This bilateral meeting, though short, reflects mutual understanding and mutual respect between the two countries./.
