Prime Minister Pham expressed thanks to Premier Li for thoughtful and respectful reception for him during his tour to China to attend the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting of the New Champions that took place in Tianjin from June 24-26.
The Party and State of Viet Nam highly value the substantive outcomes of the recent high-level visits between the two countries, making significant contributions to advancing the development of the relations between the two Parties and the two countries, Pham affirmed.
Pham conveyed the greetings from General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong and Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man to General Secretary and President Xi Jinping and other senior Chinese leaders.
Both sides agreed to continue to concretize and implement the high-level common perceptions reached by the two countries' senior leaders; maintain regular high-level exchanges; accelerate economic, trade and investment cooperation; and expand cooperation in science, technology and innovation.
Prime Minister Pham suggested China give high priority to railway cooperation with Viet Nam and to advance the commencement of construction of the Lao Cai-Ha Noi-Hai Phong rail route in 2025.
Premier Li expressed his pleasure to meet Prime Minister Pham again, and conveyed the greetings from General Secretary and President Xi Jinping to General Secretary To Lam and other senior Vietnamese leaders.
Li also expressed thanks to the thoughtful and respectful reception with the highest protocol reserved for General Secretary and President Xi Jinping during the latter's visit to April 2025.
Li spoke highly of the positive growth momentum of the Viet Nam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, affirming that China would continue close coordination with Viet Nam in implementing the common perceptions of the top leaders of the two Parties and countries.
He also affirmed China stands ready to speed up strategic development connections with Viet Nam, expressing his appreciation for Viet Nam's wish to soon start the construction of standard-gauge rail lines connecting the two countries./.
