Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh leaves for 78th UNGA session

VGP – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Sunday left Ha Noi for New York to attend the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

Prime Minister Pham is accompanied by Minister of Public Security To Lam, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, Minister of Trade and Industry, Nguyen Hong Dien, Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Dang Quoc Khanh, Vice Chairman of the Government Office Nguyen Xuan Thanh, Ambassador of Viet Nam to the U.S. Nguyen Quoc Dung, and Head of the Permanent Delegation of Viet Nam to the UN Dang Hoang Giang.

During his stay in New York from September 17-23, Pham will attend the high-level General Debate of the 78th UNGA session at the General Assembly Hall of the UN Headquarters.

His participation in the high-level debate is a clear evidence of Viet Nam's consistent foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, cooperation and development, diversification and multilateralization of external relations.

Pham will also engage in bilateral meetings in a bid to further deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership established by Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and President Joe Biden on the occasion of President Biden's Viet Nam visit last week./.
