Pham’s Malaysia tour reflects Viet Nam’s commitment to actively participating in regional agenda and making responsible contributions to the maintenance and consolidation of ASEAN centrality and to the promotion of the bloc’s responsible voice on peace, stability and development.
It also stands as a testament to Viet Nam’s consistent pursuance of the foreign policy of peace, self-reliance, peace, cooperation, development, diversification and multilateralization of external relations.
The tour also aims to further consolidate trust and deepen cooperation with regional peers and ASEAN’s partners.
The theme of Malaysia's ASEAN Chairmanship 2025 is 'Inclusivity and Sustainability', which reflects the bloc's aspiration for truly shared progress, ensuring that no one is left behind.
During its ASEAN Chairmanship Year, Malaysia's main priorities include, strengthening ASEAN Centrality by promoting strategic trust among nations through sustained dialogues, diplomacy and goodwill; pushing for greater commitment towards enhancing ASEAN intra-trade and investment; and ensuring that the elements of inclusivity and sustainability take centre stage in the regional Community-building efforts./.
