Prime Minister Pham is on a five-day tour to Malaysia where he will hold talks with Prime Minister Anwar and attend the 46th ASEAN Summit.
This is the first visit by a Vietnamese Prime Minister and the first visit by a top Vietnamese leader to Malaysia after the two countries elevate bilateral ties to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in November 2024.

In April this year, the two Prime Ministers had two phone conversations to discuss bilateral cooperation and several regional and international issues of mutual concern.
The bilateral relationship has advanced well in all areas, particularly since the two countries upgraded ties to Strategic Partnership in 2015 and Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2024.
Pham’s ongoing visit is expected to inject new momentum for the two countries to further deepen cooperation and reflects the two sides’ determination to make positive contributions to peace, stability and development in the region and the world.
Earlier the same day, Prime Minister Pham met with representatives of Vietnamese community in Malaysia, attend the Viet Nam-Malaysia Business Meeting and the ASEAN Leadership and Partnership Forum./.
