The Ministry of Public Security was asked to join the investigation process at the request of the Thai side, provide necessary information of victims’ relatives to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to carry out citizen protection work.
The Ambassador is in charge of keeping a close watch on the case, timely report investigation outcomes and support victims’ families in terms of funeral procedures.
In response to a reporter’s question regarding the incident where six people were killed at a hotel in Bangkok, Thailand, on the evening of July 16, 2024, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pham Thu Hang said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Public Security worked together and verified the identities of the victims.
The four Vietnamese victims are Nguyen Thi Phuong Lan, 47, Pham Hong Thanh, 49, Tran Dinh Phu, 37, and Nguyen Thi Phuong, 46.
