Prime Minister meets world leaders on COP28 sidelines

Pham spoke highly of the advancement of the Viet Nam-UAE relations, expressing his wish to further strengthen trade and investment cooperation with the UAE.

He suggested the two countries soon sign a comprehensive economic partnership agreement (CEPA) and asked the UAE to assist Viet Nam in building an international financial center.

Viet Nam, India mulls over free trade deal

At his meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Prime Minister Pham congratulated on India's impressive achievements, especially in aerospace science and technology.

Pham expressed his wish to further foster multi-faceted cooperation with Viet Nam, especially in human resource training and technological transfer.

Prime Minister Modi assured Viet Nam is India's important partner, voicing his support for Pham's proposal to mull over negotiations on a free trade agreements between the two countries.

Tony Blair urged to support Viet Nam's energy transition

At his meeting with former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, Prime Minister Pham reassured that Viet Nam attaches importance to the strategic partnership with the UK.

He asked Tony Blair to continue support for energy transition and climate change response process in Viet Nam.

At his meeting with Special Envoy for Climate of the U.S. President John Kerry, Prime Minister Pham highlighted the milestones in the relations between Viet Nam and the U.S., including the recent elevation of the bilateral ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership on the occasion of President Biden's visit to Viet Nam last September.

Pham informed Kerry about Viet Nam's efforts in energy transition, including the adoption of the National strategy for climate change response toward 2050, the 8th National Power Development Plan VIII, and the National Master Plan for Energy Development.

Kerry affirmed that Viet Nam is an important partner of the U.S. in the Indo-Pacific region, saying both countries should double efforts to realize the Joint Leaders' Statement on elevating the Viet Nam-U.S. ties to a comprehensive strategic partnership.

IMF to revise up Viet Nam's GDP growth

At his meeting with Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Kristalina Georgieva, Prime Minister Pham expressed thanks to the IMF's active support for Viet Nam's socio-economic development and invited her to visit Viet Nam.

Georgieva highly valued Viet Nam's remarkable developments in the recent past, saying that the IMF planned to revise up Viet Nam's GDP growth in the near future.

At his meeting with Director-General of the World Trade Organization, Prime Minister Pham affirmed Viet Nam remains active in promoting international integration, especially in economic and trade fronts, calling on the WTO to assist the country in trade-related issues.

Iwalea said she would share Viet Nam's success story with other countries, especially African nations, pledging that the WTO would continue working side by side with Viet Nam to spur socio-economic development./.
