The visit affirms Viet Nam's consistent policy of attaching the highest importance and priority to its relations with Laos; standing ready to share with Laos on its path of national development; and working with Laos to preserve and further nurture the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and strategic cohesion between the two nations, making the bilateral relationship more effective and sustainable, particularly in the new period.
During the visit, the Vietnamese Prime Minister will hold extensive discussions with senior Lao leaders on concrete measures to promote the bilateral cooperation and create new momentum for their relations in the coming period.
The visit will also provide an opportunity for the two sides to further concretize high-level agreements and shared understandings, enhance the effectiveness of the bilateral cooperation mechanisms, and promote economic, trade and investment ties, infrastructure connectivity, and closer linkages between the two economies.
It aims to further advance cooperation in education and training, human resource development, science and technology, as well as people-to-people exchanges, particularly among younger generations./.
