The Prime Minister welcomed Zhang Qingwei to attend the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, adding that the Vietnamese Party, State and people always treasure the great and valuable support of China.

He reiterated that Viet Nam's Party and State always consider the development of friendship with China as a strategic choice and top priority in its overall foreign policy.

Both nations should continue to enhance all-level delegation exchanges, especially high level, promote exchange and cooperation mechanisms; boost strategic connectivity, and create new growth momentum for the two countries' collaboration.

He recommended the two sides give priority to fostering road and rail transport connectivity in border provinces, piloting smart border gates and promoting linkages between Viet Nam and China's regional development strategies.

The Prime Minister underlined the need to bolster collaboration in newly-emerging areas such as green development and digital economy as well as tourism and people-to-people exchanges.

Both sides should make efforts to better control and resolve disagreements and remaining issues, strengthen the social foundation of bilateral relations, and build consensus among their peoples on the development of friendly relations between the two countries, Pham noted.

Zhang, for his part, asserted that China attaches great importance to developing relations with Viet Nam, always considering it a priority in its neighborhood policy.

China stands ready to promote high-level exchanges, strengthen transport infrastructure connections with Viet Nam, increase imports of Vietnamese goods and agricultural products, and accelerate the resolution of existing issues in some cooperation projects, emphasized the guest.

Both nations should double efforts in realizing the cooperation agreements signed by the two countries' legislative bodies in April and further deepening the legislatures' friendship and practical cooperation, thereby promoting the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, he suggested./.
