Prime Minister hosts Chinese Minister of Justice

Both sides expressed their delight at the sound development of the friendly neighborliness and comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Viet Nam and China over the past years.

The host and the guest underlined the significance of consolidating and promoting the bilateral ties in the areas of law and justice.

Prime Minister Pham reiterated that Viet Nam considers the development of the stable, healthy, sustainable and long-term ties with China as a consistent policy, an objective requirement, a strategic choice and a leading priority in its foreign policy.

The Vietnamese Government always supports and facilitates the two justice ministries to enhance collaboration, urging both sides to effectively implement the signed Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation.

He stressed the need to build and complete the rule-of-law state and laws, enhance partnership in training of high-quality human resources, and judicial assistance in line with bilateral and multilateral international treaties to which both nations are signatories.

Pham asked for enhancing judicial cooperation between localities of the two nations, especially border ones, and spoke highly of the preparation for the first judicial conference between provinces along the shared borderline to be held in China in 2025.

He Rong, for her part, agreed with Pham's recommendations, asserting that she will work closely with the Vietnamese Ministry of Justice to promote cooperative activities in a more practical and effective fashion in accordance with the agreements reached by high-level leaders of both nations.

Earlier, the Chinese Minister of Justice held talks with Vietnamese Minister of Public Security To Lam. They signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security and the Chinese Ministry of Justice./.
