The Prime Minister promised to continue working with ASEAN leaders to deepen cooperation between Viet Nam and other ASEAN countries towards an effective, substantive and practical manner, while maintaining close consultations and mutual support within ASEAN and at other multilateral and regional forums.
Viet Nam always attaches importance and gives high priority to relations with neighboring countries and the region, while placing strong importance on ASEAN's role and position in its foreign policy, underlined the Government leader.
Le reaffirmed that Viet Nam is committed to making proactive and substantive contributions to the bloc. He congratulated the Philippines, as ASEAN Chair in 2026, on its efforts to maintain unity and strengthen the bloc's cooperation.
The Prime Minister called on the ambassadors and chargé d'affaires to continue making substantive contributions to the robust development of Viet Nam's relations with ASEAN member states in the time ahead.
He urged ASEAN member countries to further strengthen unity and solidarity, enhance resilience and strategic autonomy, and reinforce its central role in regional structures and ASEAN-led mechanisms and norms, including by upholding consultation, dialogue and consensus in diversity.
The bloc should continue renewing its thinking, broadening its vision, diversifying forms and areas of cooperation, and maintaining a peaceful and stable environment conducive to development, he emphasized.
It is necessary to deepen intra-ASEAN trade and investment relations, effectively harness new growth drivers such as digital economy, science and technology, and innovation, and enhance connectivity in strategic areas such as infrastructure and energy, said Le.
He suggested ASEAN strengthen its collective strength, self-reliance and resilience, while reinforcing traditional ties, promoting people-to-people exchanges and fostering greater regional cohesion.
On behalf of the ASEAN ambassadors and chargé d'affaires in Ha Noi, Philippine Ambassador Francisco Noel R. Fernandez III affirmed the commitment of ASEAN member states to closely coordinate with Viet Nam to strengthen bilateral cooperation and cooperation within the ASEAN framework.
The Philippine Ambassador highlighted the positive and substantive progress made in Viet Nam's relations with all ASEAN countries, particularly General Secretary and President To Lam's recent successful visits to Thailand, Singapore and the Philippines, as well as his keynote address at the Shangri-La Dialogue.
ASEAN member states would continue to support this strategic initiative of Viet Nam, said the diplomat. He pledged to further promote intra-ASEAN trade and investment cooperation and called on the Prime Minister to continue promoting the implementation of agreements and investment projects between Viet Nam and ASEAN countries.
ASEAN countries would continue to stand alongside Viet Nam in implementing its socio-economic development strategies and priorities, while working to improve the living standards of its people, asserted the Ambassador./.
