Pham reiterated that Viet Nam always treasures the comprehensive partnership and cooperation with the EU.

He expressed his hope that the EU and its member states would increase assistance for Viet Nam in terms of finance, technology, and human resource to cope with climate change and boost energy transition within the framework of the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP).

Pham suggested the EU raise its active voice to urge other EU members to soon ratify the EU-Viet Nam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA).

The Prime Minister called on the EC to consider soon removing the "yellow card" against Viet Nam's seafood exports, taking into account Viet Nam's determination and efforts in seriously implementing the EC's recommendations on sustainable fisheries development.

Ursula von der Leyen, for her part, asserted that Viet Nam is a crucial partner of the EU and EC, welcoming the close coordination between two sides, remarkably in realizing the JETP.

She spoke highly of the Southeast Asian country's efforts in implementing the recommendations made by the EC to fight illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing.

Both sides pledged to bolster close coordination at international and regional forums./.
