The Crown Prince and Crown Princess are paying an official visit to Viet Nam at the invitation of Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan.
The Vietnamese State leader lauded on the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations, particularly in fields of politics-diplomacy, trade-investment, environment, education-training and people-to-people exchanges.
Currently, Denmark is one of the major European partners of Viet Nam. The bilateral trade hit nearly US$600 million in 2021. Denmark ranked third among nations and territories investing Viet Nam in 2022, with LEGO Group planning to build US$1 billion factory in the Southern province of Binh Duong.
The two nations have great potential to expand cooperation, Nguyen said, expressing his hope that the Danish Royal Family and Government would continue to support the two nations to deepen their Compressive Partnership in the upcoming time.
Nguyen expressed his belief that Danish enterprises would expand investment in Viet Nam, thus taking full advantage of opportunities brought by the EU-Viet Nam Free Trade Agreement.
He took the occasion to convey his invitation for a Viet Nam visit to Queen Margrethe II.
For his part, Crown Prince Frederik expressed his delight on the fruitful development of the Comprehensive Partnership, adding that he is accompanied by a number of big corporations operating in green growth, renewable energy and energy efficiency with an aim to seek cooperative opportunities with the Vietnamese business community.
Denmark shares with Viet Nam the viewpoint on sustainable development, he said, appraising Viet Nam's efforts to realize the net-zero emissions by 2050.
The Crown Prince expected that the two nations would have more opportunities to develop in green growth and energy transition and set up a green strategic partnership to improve the effective and practical cooperation between the two sides.
Both sides pledged to bolster cooperation in education-training and cultural and tourism exchanges to increase mutual knowledge, thus tightening the bilateral relationship.
