In his remarks, General Secretary To stressed that the statute is not only a cultural and artistic work, but also a vivid symbol of the close and enduring friendship between Vietnamese and Korean people.

It serves as a reminder of the values to which Presiden Ho Chi Minh devoted his life for independence, freedom, peace, friendship, and solidarity among nations, said the Party chief.

He noted the inauguration's special significance as Viet Nam celebrates the 135th birthday anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh and prepares to mark the 80th anniversaries of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2).

The statue, he said, brings people closer to President Ho Chi Minh, inspiring them to follow his teachings and fulfil his aspiration for Viet Nam to stand shoulder to shoulder with the world's great powers.

To urged the embassy to preserve the statue well so it becomes a meaningful site to foster unity among the Vietnamese community in South Korea, while also offering Koreans a place to express their respect and affection for President Ho Chi Minh./.
