PM witnesses signing of multi-billion dollar deals between Viet Nam and France

VGP – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his French counterpart Jean Castex witnessed the signing ceremony of cooperation agreements between the two nations' agencies and businesses in Paris on November 3.

Agreements inked between the two sides' agencies are:

(1)  Cooperation agreement between the Vietnamese Ministry of Justice and the French Council of State during 2021-2026 period

(2)  Administration agreement between the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training and the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation on mutual recognition of qualifications and training

(3)  Loan agreement and aid agreement for the multi-disaster management project of Nam Rom river basin to protect people's lives, adapt to climate change and enhance socio-economic development in the northern province of Dien Bien

(4)  Letter of Intent for cooperation in implementing Earth observation satellite projects between the Viet Nam Academy of Science and Technology and the French National Centre for Space Studies

Economic agreements include:

(1)  Memorandum of Understanding between Vietjet Air and Bamboo Airways and Safran S.A., an international France-based high-technology group

(2)  Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in satellite, smart city, digital identity and cyber security between Viet Nam Posts and Telecommunications Group and Thales Group
