Receiving Mr. Rifat Hisarciklioglu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) on Thursday in Hà Nội, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng lauded TOBB for its fruitful cooperation with the Việt Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VVCI), especially in facilitating investment activities in their respective markets.

The Government chief gave nod to the agreement between TOBB and VCCI on the establishment of the Việt Nam–Turkey Joint Business Council.

Mr. Rifat Hisarciklioglu expected that the Government of Việt Nam will continue to back Turkish investors’ operation here in such fields as textile and building materials.

He also suggested the more frequent exchange of information about investment and business projects.

The cooperation between Việt Nam and Turkey is booming. The two-way trade turnover in 2008 increased nearly US $500 million, up over 60% against 2007, and can reach US $1 billion in a near future.
