The Viet Nam-RoK strategic partnership has made big leap forward in different aspects like politics, security, national defense, economics, trade, and investment, said PM Phuc.
The RoK was Viet Nam’s third largest trade partner. Meanwhile, Viet Nam was the fourth biggest importer of the RoK. The two-way trade turnover hit over US$ 36.5 billion in 2015. The two countries owned supplementary strength in which Viet Nam has an abundant labor force and the RoK boasts technological experience and economic development successes.
Viet Nam appreciates the RoK’s knowledge sharing program, which has plenty of practical lessons for the country, he said, adding that relevant Vietnamese agencies will learn from the RoK’s experience to improve policymaking, said PM Phuc.
He also affirmed that the Government would create favorable ways for foreign corporations and groups including Korean ones to expand their footholds in Viet Nam and strive for US$70 billion two-way trade turnover in the next five years.
For his part, Mr. Yoon Dae Hee pledged to spare no effort to cement and deepen the bilateral ties and promote the Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP) of Korea to share experience on socio-economic development especially on policy making./.
