PM Dũng meets with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev

PM Dũng made the statement in his meeting with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev in Hà Nội on Sunday.

The Vietnamese PM highly spoke of the significance of President Medvedev’s first visit to Việt Nam, stressing that the visit would consolidate and strengthen the political trust and strategic partnership between the two countries.

Both PM Dũng and President Medvedev noted strong leaps forwards in economic and trade cooperation in recent years, especially in such strategic domains as petroleum and nuclear energy.

They showed their pleasure at the signing of the Intergovernmental Agreement on the building of a nuclear power plant in Việt Nam.

PM Dũng and President Dmitry Medvedev also exchanged opinions about specific measures to speed up the realization of agreements inked by senior leaders.
