PM approves program on poverty reduction in Ha Giang

VGP – PM Nguyen Tan Dung has approved the Decentralized Program for Rural Poverty Reduction (DPRPR) for Ha Giang Province, which is financed by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).

The provincial People’s Committee is monitoring the project.

The long-term goal of the project is to increase the incomes and reduce the vulnerability for poor households at the targeted communes of the program in a sustainable manner.

The program, including three components of planning a sustainable-oriented market, developing products suitable for the poor and coordinating the program, will be realized in 2015-2020.

The program, worth US$33.712 million, includes US$20million being the preferential Official Development Assistance (ODA) from the IFDA and the corresponding capital of US$13.712 million. It will be launched in 30 communes of five districts in the province
