Dao, who is a member of the Party Central Committee, was promoted to the new role from her previous position as Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee.

Last month, the Party Central Committee decided to expel Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long, from the Party.

The National Assembly then approved a resolution to remove Nguyen Thanh Long from the post of Health Minister for his involvement in a COVID-19 test kit scam./.
