PM agrees to Tuyen Quang-Phu Tho Express construction project

The project has a total investment of over VND 3,271 billion and covers sections in Tuyen Quang city, Yen Son district of Tuyen Quang province, Hoan Hung district, Thanh Ba district, and Phu Tho town in Phu Tho province. 

The express has a design length of 40.2 km including 11.63 km in Tuyen Quang province and 28.57 km in Phu Tho province. 

The four-lane highway has a design speed of 80 km/h, serving to meet the rising transport demand; minimize traffic congestion and accidents in the National Road 2; and reduce time of transport between Tuyen Quang and Phu Tho provinces and regional transport network; raise efficiency of the Noi Bai-Lao Cai Express. In addition, the project expects to make socio-economic development breakthroughs and spur tourism development in Tuyen Quang and Phu Tho provinces. 

The PM asked the local authorities of Tuyen Quang to implement the project on schedule and work with the Ministry of Transport, the Phu Tho provincial People’s Committee, relevant ministries and agencies to implement the project in accordance with the law; ensure openness, transparency, quality, efficiency, project schedule; prevent wastefulness and problems./.
